Learning Outcomes:
By the end the course the student will:
- Identify musical symbols utilized most frequently
- Sight-read both simple rhythms and melodies
- Play most major and minor scales and arpeggios
- Identify and write intervals and root position chords
- Understand the structure of Western Tonality and the Major/Minor system
- Be willing (and relatively comfortable) to use keyboard skills in public performance.
